Things are off and running with the Nice program. After a very long time in several airports everyone arrived safely on Sunday and we started our trip with some pizza and a quick walk around the neighborhood. Students settled in at La Résidence Ségurane and started unpacking.
On Monday we went to the park by our residence to play a few games and have our orientation meeting. Afterwards students had a brief French exam and will start French class on Tuesday. In the afternoon everyone went to their electives; photography, drawing or culture and conversation.
After a bit of free time the group went out for dinner at Pasta Basta in the heart of Vieux Nice. Abbey Road students got to try some homemade Italian pasta and salads. Afterwards we took a quick walk around the Vieux Port to see some of the yachts that call Nice home. We got a few surprise rain showers today which shocked everyone including the locals. Many Nice residents have never seen rain in July.
Today students started their language classes and tonight we are attending a pottery workshop followed by Latin dance classes in Place Massena.
